A light moment was witnessed at the Martin Luther King Centre when retired basketball star Shaquille O'Neal appeared during President William Ruto’s US visit.
When O'Neal appeared at the door, everyone was whispering with others asking who he was.
"Who is that? I need to take a picture with him," one of the delegates said.
But many people were amazed by his physique and were yearning to take a picture with him.
This included President William Ruto who also had to take a picture with the 7-foot-tall man.
The President was visibly mesmerized by the height of the NBA legend whose presence dwarfed the rest of the people present.
He excitedly shook O'Neal's hand as he placed his other hand on the athlete's shoulder, visibly stunned at his height.
As he did this, others were graciously waiting for their turn.
"I have to take a picture. Please take a picture for me," one pleaded with me.
But after the president had shared his picture-taking moment, other Kenyan leaders took turns to enjoy the moment.
This was evident as many including Aaron Cheruiyot, Kimani Ichung'wah and Aden Duale took out their phones to pose for pictures.
"I think I should jump so that I reach him," Ichunghwah said as he grinned from teeth to teeth.
This excited others who also wanted to share the pictures.
This was replicated across the room with camera lights shining on people's faces as this was history being made.
After an exhaustive session, the legend was seen exiting the room as others still followed him closely.
