President William Ruto has said the Kenyan partnership with the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation will enhance healthcare delivery.
This is by strengthening primary health care, community health strategies, commodity security, and workforce training.
"Additionally, it will enhance the transition of the Linda Mama Programme, expanding access to reproductive health services," he said.
Ruto said this on Tuesday after meeting with the foundation's Vice President of Global Programmes Professor Senait Fisseha at the State House in Nairobi.
Fisseha acknowledged the meeting, thanking Ruto and Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha, the Ministry of Health team and health advisors "for a very productive meeting".
She expressed hope towards the collaboration on advancing Kenya's vision for community-centred and integrated quality primary health care.
This, she said, will tackle preventable maternal deaths among other challenges.
"Excited to see the Linda Mama Programme expanding to enhance access to vital services, crucial for the well-being of girls and women," she added.
The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, based in Omaha, Nebraska, is a private grantmaking foundation and one of the largest global supporters of sexual reproductive health.
It works towards a world in which every woman controls her reproduction and all reproductive decisions are treated with dignity and respect.
