There were ugly scenes at the Nairobi CB on Tuesday as police, journalists clashed during protests.
The incidents were captured in videos that have since gone viral.
In one video, a journalist from the Standard Group is seen being bundled into a police vehicle, only for him to fall moments later while the vehicle is in motion.
According to Standard Group, their Video Editor Justus Mwangi was working alongside other journalists before an officer pounced on him claiming that Mwangi was filming him.
As other journalists tried to explain to the police that they had arrested their colleague, he was seen falling from the vehicle.
A separate video also captured a journalist from Nation Media Group being helped to walk after she was also injured.
The Media Council of Kenya condemned the reported attacks on journalists.
"The Media Council of Kenya condemns the arbitrary arrests and attacks on journalists covering today's protests in Nairobi's CBD," a statement by MCK CEO David Omwoyo said
Kenyans had taken to the streets to oppose the Finance Bill 2024.
