Turkana Central MP Joseph Namuar was forced to cut his speech after residents failed to listen to him.
Namuar was heard trying to explain to the residents why he voted Yes to the Finance Bill 2024.
He was accompanied by Turkana Governor Lomorukai in Lodwar.
They urged residents to shun away from protests that might interrupt business activities in Lodwar.
Trouble started when Governor Lomorukai allowed MP Namuar to address the residents.
While Namuar was speaking, residents were heard shouting, "Simba," forcing him to end his speech prematurely.
"I thank you for electing me as your leader. I promised to ensure there's peaceful coexistence at Lodwar town to create a conducive environment for business activities," he said.
When Namuar said, "Receive greetings from President Wiliam Ruto," residents continued talking disrupting his speech.
He was heard saying jameni kidogo tu kidogo tu.....but the crowd kept talking.
Governor Lomorukai had to intervene and managed to calm down the charged crowd but they didn't allow MP Namuar to speak again.
