The Kenya Dental Association (KDA) has called for the safe release of Dr Austin Omondi well known as Japrado.
In a statement on Sunday, KDA expressed deep concern about the whereabouts of Dr Omondi and urged the authorities to handle the matter with transparency and respect for human rights.
"We firmly believe in the principles of due process and call for Dr Omondi's swift release. The KDA stands in solidarity with Dr Omondi's family and colleagues during this difficult time," KDA said.
The Association noted that Dr Omondi has kept to the oath he took of offering care to his fellow countrymen, adding that it will leave no stone unturned in looking for him.
KDA also urged the authorities to join them and ensure his well-being, assuring them to continue monitoring Dr Omondi's situation closely.
Dr Omondi is alleged to have been arrested around 1.20 pm on Sunday while conducting a blood donation drive at Sikh Union, Ngara, Nairobi.
