In Nakuru, two protestors were shot and injured as they attempted to access State House, Nakuru.

One of the protestors who had joined the countrywide demonstrations against the proposed Finance Bill 2024 was shot in the arm while the other one had a bullet lodged in the leg.

This was the second time the thousands of protestors tried to access the facility situated along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway but were successfully repulsed by anti-riot police officers.

In the morning, another group had attempted to enter the heavily guarded State House while another made a similar move in Nakuru Town East MP, David Gikaria's home.

The protestors who had strategically split into more than five groups staged an eight-hour-long peaceful demonstration and only dispersed at nightfall.

The demonstrations were largely peaceful safe from the four incidences where the police had to fire teargas canisters and shoot live bullets to disperse the protestors.

The incidents were during the two invasion attempts at State House Nakuru, an attempted invasion at MP Gikaria's home with the fourth one being at the KFA round-about along the Great North Road.
