Stop arrogance, address Kenyans' concerns - Gachagua to Kenya Kwanza leaders

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has asked Kenya Kwanza leaders to address concerns that the people have with President William Ruto's administration.

Speaking during a church service at Deliverance Church International Kaplong, in Bomet County, the Deputy President called out leaders whom he said are displaying arrogance and opulence instead of working as per the manifesto of the Kenya Kwanza Administration.

Gachagua added that his working relationship with President William Ruto is good and he will support the Head of State to the end.

"We must address issues making Kenyans uncomfortable with our Administration. Do not display opulence and arrogance to hungry people. Address them with humility and dignity, not chest-thumping," he said.

The Deputy President said Kenyans are struggling and they need service.

"These youth cannot be ignored by anybody because they are part of our nation. We must listen to them,"  the Deputy President said.

He urged MPs, to engage the people at the grassroots to understand their priorities better.

Bomet Governor Hillary Barchok asked leaders to support the President and his Deputy for the Kenya Kwanza Administration to deliver on its promises.

Deputy Governor Shadrack Rotich said Deputy President has delivered on tea and coffee subsector reforms, and asked him to do the same to the dairy subsector.

Kangema MP Peter Kihungi said Mt Kenya region is firmly behind President Ruto and his Deputy Gachagua.

On the other hand, Emurua Dikirr MP Johanna Ng'eno said fights between leaders will delay development, asking President Ruto and his Deputy to ensure discipline.
