Nominated Senator Esther Okenyuri now says that President William Ruto must take action on the people who are not doing their jobs.
Okenyuri insisted that it was time the Head of State cracked the whip on these individuals.
"To the President, we need radical changes, people need to see heads rolling. We've had people implicated in several scandals which are well known to the public domain," she said during her address at the Senate, on Wednesday.
Okenyuri said that failure to do this, the entire government might collapse.
She added that she believes in President Ruto's plan for the country but he must first get rid of the people causing the current problems.
"Politics should be separated from friendship. If you hold on to your friends Mr President, we might sink with them, unfortunately," she said.
"We are here to support your agenda. I believed in your agenda and I still do. Still, we need to separate the friendship from politics for us to steer this country forward so that we don't see the unnecessary issues we are seeing now."
On Sunday, during a media roundtable, President William Ruto said that his Cabinet could have done better in helping him lead the country.
He said that he would now have to do soul-searching on how to move forward with his cabinet.
"The Cabinet I have maybe could have done better and I am going to do soul searching on how we are going to move forward."
The President has been under intense pressure to reshuffle his administration amid opinions from a section of Kenyans who claim some appointees have failed to meet the public's expectations.
But the President in a rejoinder said that even though there are mass expectations to kick out some senior officials of his administration, that must be done with a degree of fairness.
Ruto said he would not hesitate to kick out any Cabinet members from office if there is an iota of evidence indicating him or her to any crime.
The President also admitted that his team failed in communicating the contentious Finance Bill, 2024 that led to a rise in protests.
