President William Ruto has appointed Jeremiah Ndambuki Simu to chair the Affordable Housing Board.
In a Gazette Notice dated July 5, Ruto said Simu will serve for three years.
His appointment took effect July 5, 2024.
Consequently, Ruto has revoked the appointment of Linda Nkatha Gichuiya who had been appointed to the role.
Gichuyia's exit comes barely three months after she had been appointed.
Ndambuki is now tasked with overseeing the development of affordable housing programs across the country.
He will also coordinate the utilisation of the housing levy in implementing the program.
