A section of women MPs have condemned the brutal murder of women by unknown people after six mutilated female bodies were retrieved in Kware area on Friday.

Mombasa Woman Representative Zamzam Mohammed said security agencies must now take firm charge and bring the perpetrators to book.

Zamzam also called on President William Ruto to address matters, she termed urgent, as the father of the nation.

“I want to ask the President; you are the one in charge of the country. Women have been murdered. Mothers are being brutally killed, I am asking you as the father of this nation to address this matter and we as mothers want to see that all those who have committed this act are caught," she said.

The Woman Rep called on all security institutions to take charge and bring perpetrators to book.

Zamzam called on human rights organisations to help unite the country instead of fuelling the situation.

She noted that while some have very good intentions, there are others that “want to burn the country”.

“I also want to urge human rights organisations, l know there are those doing a good job but there are others who just want to burn the country. It’s time for us all to unite and look at how we can move the country forward. We have laws and the constitution that gives us direction,” she said.

“We do not have another country fellow Kenyans. We cannot burn the country because of the greed of a few people.”

The Mombasa Woman Rep also commended President Ruto for listening to the people and for the measures he has taken in efforts to fix the country including dissolving his cabinet.

She also commended the resignation of the Inspector General.

Busia Woman Representative Catherine Omanyo on her part condoled with the families of the victims of bodies recovered on Friday.

She described the events as gory saying that she does not understand what kind of human being can commit such acts and live a normal life.

“I send my condolences to the families of the latest bodies recovered. I don’t know what kind of cult that is. That is the devil’s work,” Omanyo said.

On Saturday, five more bodies were retrieved from the Kware dumpsite in Mukuru Kwa Njenga.

Speaking on Saturday, President William Ruto called on homicide detectives to work closely with the area police officers and investigate the matter.

He directed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to speed up investigation into the deaths of Kenyans whose bodies were found in a quarry in Mukuru, Nairobi.

The President assured that those behind mysterious killings in Nairobi will be held to account.
