Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has said that he supports President William Ruto's dissolution of the Cabinet.

Nyoro noted that the Constitution permits Ruto to do as he did, urging him to continue working to reform Kenya.

He added that he will support the President even as he deliberates, consults and appoints a new cabinet

"We support him as our president. We pray for God to show him the right people for his next cabinet. In all things, I know God will give him wisdom," he said.

Speaking when he addressed the nation on Thursday, Ruto dismissed every other Cabinet Secretary and the Attorney General save for Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

"I have decided to dismiss with immediate effect all the Cabinet Secretaries and Attorney General of the Cabinet of Kenya except the Prime Cabinet Secretary and the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs and of course, the Office of the Deputy President is not affected in any way," he said.

Ruto stated that he will engage in extensive consultations across different sectors and political formations and other Kenyans at large.

The Head of State said this is to set up a broad base government that will assist him in accelerating the necessary, urgent and irreversible implementation of the programme that the state has.

This includes dealing with the burden of debt, raising domestic resources, expanding job opportunities, eliminating wastage and unnecessary duplication of a multiplicity of government agencies and ending of corruption.

This, Ruto said, will consequently make the government lean, inexpensive, effective and efficient

"During this process, the operations of government will continue uninterrupted under the guidance of Principal Secretaries and other relevant officials," he added.
