On Saturday, President William Ruto directed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to speed up the investigation into the deaths of Kenyans whose bodies were found in a quarry in Mukuru, Nairobi.

The President assured that those behind mysterious killings in Nairobi will be held to account.

Ruto said the government does not condone extrajudicial killings.

"All those involved in this heinous act of killing young Kenyans will face the full force of the law," Ruto said.

According to Ruto, the killings witnessed in Mukuru were against the constitution and the human rights of any country.

A section of women MPs also condemned the brutal murder of women by unknown people.

Mombasa Woman Representative Zamzam Mohammed said security agencies must now take firm charge and bring the perpetrators to book.

Zamzam also called on President William Ruto to address matters, she termed urgent, as the father of the nation.

“I want to ask the President; you are the one in charge of the country. Women have been murdered. Mothers are being brutally killed, I am asking you as the father of this nation to address this matter and we as mothers want to see that all those who have committed this act are caught," she said.

The Woman Rep called on all security institutions to take charge and bring perpetrators to book.
