In courts today

A Magistrates Court will today start hearing the incitement case against Mathare MP Anthony Oluoch.

Oluoch and two Nairobi MCAs were in July last year charged with conspiracy to commit subversive activities against the law by inciting members of the public to demonstrate.

The other two are Makongeni MCA Peter Imwatok and Kitusuru MCA Alvin Orlando.

They denied that with others not before the court, they mobilised and incited the public to commit subversive activities by demonstrating.

They allegedly committed the offence on July 12 in Nairobi.

Olouch and Imwatok were released on Sh100,000 cash bail while Olando was released on Sh70,000 cash bail.

Separately, a case in which the widow of former finance minister Arthur Magugu has accused investigators of sitting on her complaint in a sh 17 billion property dispute is to be mentioned today.

Margaret Wairimu says it's been six years since she filed the complaint against Karura Investment limited accusing it of fraud but the investigative agencies have never pursued the matter.

The inaction she says has deprived her the parcel of of land situated in Nairobi.

Justice Lawrence Mugambi is to give directions in the matter.
