Police have fired teargas in Nairobi's CBD, near Archives to disperse already gathering crowds.

Some Kenyans could be seen scampering for safety.

The teargas smoke billowed the skies as others struggled to wash it off their eyes.

Boda bodas can be seen left unattended at their stage without their riders.

This is even as more youths are expected to be out on the streets for demonstrations.

Police cars are also seen patrolling the CBD as protesters wave Kenyan flags.

Some protesters are seen seated on the pavements as crowds start gathering for the demos.

The protesters had barricaded Moi Avenue, forcing police to disperse them.
