Who's doing what to whom, why, when where and how.

A senior politician is reportedly uncomfortable with a planned political deal with some leaders after his demands were rejected. The big gun is said to have insisted that he be allocated two slots in the new arrangement but when that was flatly rejected by the powers that be, he got angry. He is now discrediting the impending arrangement and supposedly warning others against joining it. Many are wondering whether he would be leading that negative campaign if his wishes had been granted. He has allegedly convened talks with an expanded group over the weekend to try and map out his next steps of action. The meeting is reported to be planned for a county neighbouring Nairobi.

Did a senior leader sanction hooliganism on Wednesday moments after the opposition held a closed-door meeting? Many people were left wondering how the rogue youths made their way into the protected venue and descended on journalists and attendees. The regrettable incident saw scores of scribes injured after the youths turned hostile and beat them up. Corridors of Power is aware the youths supposedly included well-known goons who hang around a city MP. Speculations are rife that the MP mobilised the numbers on Tuesday night and put them on standby around the compound. They swung into action when they were signalled.

Still on politics, an opposition MP is at the crossroads. This is after the coalition's leader started warming up to his expected rival in the 2027 polls. The MP has purportedly been begging the big man to spare him any competition but it would appear that the boss has heard none of that. In a recent meeting where they both attended a funeral, the MP was apparently isolated as the big man flew with his rival in the same chopper. Frustrated and furious, the MP has reportedly been traversing the constituency and holding meetings to salvage his career from imminent collapse.

A storm that has been boiling at a political party could cost a senior politician his position. A recent meeting reportedly resolved to kick the official out in the coming weeks after a top decision-making organ of the party endorsed the move. It is reported that there was misappropriation of funds that were supposedly not sanctioned by the top echelons including hiring a chopper irregularly. Despite the official promising to repay the money, it looks like his fate was sealed this week and he could be axed as early as September. The big honcho in the outfit is unhappy with him and has recently not been picking his calls.
