Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is attending a church service at PCEA Kayole Parish, Nairobi County.
The church is celebrating 32 years since the establishment of the Kayole Parish.
The DP is in the company of some of his political lieutenants including Embakasi North MP James Gakuya.
Also present is Embakasi Central MP Benjamin Gathiru also known as Mejjadonk.
Gachagua is expected to use the occasion to speak about the Generation Z protests and appeal for the young people's patience.
The DP has in the past called on the youthful protesters to exercise restraint and listen to the government's proposals to find a solution.
The church service comes hours after Gachagua held private talks with President William Ruto on the lawns of State House, Nairobi.
While details of the consultations on Saturday were not released to the media, State House Press Secretary Emmanuel Talam posted a photo of the two in a session.
The DP could be seen jotting down notes as President Ruto spoke to him in an open area for the first time in many months of perceived animosity.
Since President Ruto called for the national dialogue and announced that he would form a broad-based government of national unity, the two have been holding solidarity meetings.
They have teamed up over the last few days, attending public and church events together after months of alleged hostilities.
Gachagua accompanied Ruto to Elgeyo Marakwet last Saturday for a tree-planting exercise, accompanied by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
Last Sunday, they were in Nyandarua for a church service at A.I.P.C.A Ndogino, where Ruto called for prayer ahead of the unity government.
On Monday last week, Ruto and Gachagua stormed Nakuru to launch development projects and addressed residents calling on Kenyans to remain united.
On Saturday, Gachagua warned county commissioners and security teams that they would be held accountable if they do not do what is expected of them.
Speaking in Kirinyaga County on Saturday, the DP told county commissioners not to engage in any unlawful activity on the pretext of 'orders from above.'
“The days of orders from above ended. Do not allow anyone to tell you that they have talked to the CS. Do not listen to them,” he said.
The DP had joined the faithful of Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa (PEFA) at Mwea Cathedral, Kirinyaga County, for the Consecration and Installation of Kirinyaga Regional Bishop Samuel Karimi alongside the ordination of 33 Reverends, presided over by Bishop Dr John Okinda.
The DP said county commissioners and security teams need to play a leading role in the war against illicit alcohol.
“If a person has given you an order on the phone to the effect that the war against illicit alcohol has been stopped, demand that they write to you a letter,” he advised.
“Do not let anybody call you, saying they are an MP and they have spoken to the Cabinet Secretary. The fight against illicit alcohol will be won and the President is resolute about it,” he added.
