Utensils among items in Kalonzo's budget request to State House

The items are required for Kalonzo's office as a former vice president of Kenya.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has written to State House requesting approval of various items needed for his office including utensils, and gardening tools.

In a Memo seen by the Star, Kalonzo wants State House to also approve stationery for his office.

"I write to forward the above-mentioned items as per the attached requisition form," the memo by Kalonzo's personal assistant James Matiki reads.

The items are required for Kalonzo's office as a former vice president of Kenya.

In the kitchen requirements, Kalonzo lists at least 37 items including an electric cooker, two gas cookers, two microwaves, nine thermos of different sizes, 14 sufurias of large, medium and small sizes.

He also wants serving dishes and spoons eight each, tea and tablespoons four dozens each, three dozens of folks and another three dozens of table knives.

The former VP also wants kitchen knives, mops, mop buckets, buckets, washing and cleaning brushes, four pieces of each, as well as eight pieces of kitchen towels and four sugar dishes.

Kalonzo also requested for three dozens of tea cups, four dozens of tea mugs and another four dozens of glasses.

He asked for eight sufuria lid pieces, and four salt shakers, electric kettles, water jugs and plastic jugs each.

He also asked for five sieves, four Mwikos, four trays, four basins and and four hand basins, as well as two Hoover vacuum cleaners.

On Garden items, Kalonzo wants four shovels, five pairs of garden gloves and 10 sprinklers, four Shears of scissors for fence cutting, four pangas and another four sharpened on both sides, five pairs of gumboots, four dust coats and five overalls.

He also requested for six uniforms for chefs, and another four for housekeepers, five jembes, four slashers, four horse pipes, four rakes, four wheelbarrows and four Knapsack sprayers.

He asked for five spades, two manilla ropes, two water canes, three mattocks, three axes, three aprons and another four slashers.

On stationery for his office, Kalonzo asked for 25 boxes of A3, A4 and A5 brown envelopes printed Republic of Kenya, four reams of blue and yellow A4 branded letterheads and 10 packets of branded office complimentary yellow A5 pads.

He also asked for three 30 cm plastic rulers, 100 spring files, two scissors - large and medium, six pieces of Pritt paper glue and normal glue, six highlighters, a dozen shorthand notebooks, 15 permanent markers, two dozen sharpeners, five staple removers, two boxes of executive pens, three dozens of A4 foolscaps, and two boxes of card holders.

He also asked for five socket power extensions, two delivery books, three in and out trays, three waste paper basket medium, four staplers, 20 staples and four boxes of ball pens.

Kalonzo also asked for four paper punches, five pen holders, two dozen of 4 Quire books, five packets paper clips, five packets of office pins, 10 packets of pencils, five white outs, two packets of erasers, five rubber band boxes, 10 reams photocopying paper and 10 packets of sticky notes.
