Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka now says that he is not interested in any Attorney General position.

Speaking on Thursday, Kalonzo said that he has not received any offers to that effect.

He added that he has previously served as Vice President, a position that is higher than an AG.

He added that he is also not interested.

"Nobody has offered any position to me or to Wiper. That thing about Attorney General is a mirage. I may be senior counsel which is okay, maybe that's the attraction but this guy has been vice president of the republic and has been minister in many portfolios, do you expect me serve to serve Ruto as Attorney General?

"I think he's expecting too much," Kalonzo said.

He was responding to remarks that he would be appointed to the Cabinet to fill one of the two vacant slots left by Ruto.

One is the Attorney General and the other is the East African Community and ASAL regions.

In his appointments, Ruto picked at least four leaders from the Opposition party ODM to join his Cabinet.

They include Hassan Joho, Wycliffe Oparanya, John Mbadi and Opiyo Wandayi who all have been handed cabinet portfolios.

Joho and Oparanya are ODM deputy party leaders, while Wandayi is the National Assembly minority leader and Ugunja MP.

Mbadi is ODM chairman and a nominated MP.

After dissolving his entire Cabinet, President Ruto said that he was consulting to form a government of National Unity.

He said that he was keen to form a government that reflects the face of Kenya.

"I will immediately engage in extensive consultations across different sectors and political formations, with the aim of setting up a broad-based government that will assist me in accelerating and expediting the necessary, urgent and irreversible, implementation of radical programmes to deal with the burden of debt, raising domestic resources, expanding job opportunities, eliminate wastage and unnecessary duplication of a multiplicity of government agencies," he said when he dissolved the Cabinet.
