  • We, therefore, wish to unreservedly apologise to Kenya Airways for incorrect story and the concern it may have caused.
Kenya Airways planes at JKIA.

On Tuesday, July 23, we published a story to the effect that Kenya Airways, is at risk of being banned from flying to the European Union for non-compliance with safety provisions.

We would like to state that this is not the correct position. The EU raised concerns about Kenyan aviation safety overall.

These discussions involve the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority and the industry as a whole.

We have also learnt that Kenya Airways has a comprehensive safety management system.

Which is monitored and also audited by different regulators including EASA, Kenya Airways being a Third Country Operator into EU.

We, therefore, wish to unreservedly apologise to Kenya Airways for incorrect story and the concern it may have caused.
