A popular address erupted into celebration following changes at a key state agency. Staffers reportedly broke into song and dance when they heard that some members of the agency had fallen in changes that also took down a top official they say was a thorn in their flesh. An insider intimated to Corridors of Power that the man was allegedly disrupted their schedules so much that they could barely plan work. Did an attempt by a political entity to launch an attack on a senator liked by Gen Z protestors backfire? We are told some personalities aligned to the entity are purportedly not comfortable with the effortless charm the man seems to have with the disgruntled youth. They fear the support of the youngsters could slip through their fingers in the man’s favour. The alarmed group attempted to use House voting records against the man but the efforts aborted after some hawked-eyed people smoked them out.

Still on protests, a section of civil society bosses backing the street action from a distance are reportedly furious at a certain comedian who has been leveraging on public anger to create content. The man, whose antics allegedly started way back during the flooding season, spares no chance to be at the centre of the action, with hilarious theatrics. But the CSO bosses complain he is supposedly cheapening the cause and makes the efforts of genuine agitators to be dismissed as attention-seeking gimmicks.

Talk of uncouth behaviour. An AP officer attached to the Nairobi county assembly last week shocked all and sundry. The officer, reportedly armed with an AK-47 rifle, allegedly blocked several former MCAs who were visiting the speaker and the clerk from accessing the precincts of the assembly. Despite identifying themselves, he purportedly told them to move aside and salute him before they could get his permission to access the assembly. Shocked and embarrassed, the former legislators walked away and vowed to have the man removed from the city legislature.
