A landslide triggered by heavy rains has severed a crucial section of the Kabarnet-Eldama Ravine road, causing significant disruptions to traffic flow in the region.

Police advise motorists to use alternative routes and to be extra careful following the heavy rainfall in Kabarnet. 

"Those travelling from Eldama Ravine through Saos road are asked to be careful and if possible, divert to use Marigat highway."
