Health CS nominee Debrah Mlongo Barasa has said that she is worth Sh455,845,320.
Barasa said the wealth is jointly owned by her and her husband.
"My net worth is a combination of mine and that of my husband and it's 455, 845,320," she said.
She made her wealth public during vetting by the National Assembly Committee on Appointment on Thursday.
Dr Barasa was the second CS nominee to be vetted on Thursday, after Interior nominee Kithure Kindiki.
If approved by the Committee, Barasa will take over from Susan Nakhumicha who was dismissed by President William Ruto on July 11, 2024.
The President dismissed his entire cabinet, retaining only Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, who doubles up as CS for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.
Barasa was put to task over how she will deal with many issues affecting the Health ministry including Cartels, the establishment of the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF), Doctors' strikes and the formation of a Health Services Commission and Linda Mama among other issues.
