Tourism and Wildlife CS nominee Rebecca Miano has explained why she is the best candidate for the position.

She said in her workstations she ended up in the C-suite offices the last one being as a CEO for five years.

"In that docket, I acquired critical skills in terms of leadership, managing organisations, operations, finance and strategies," she said.

"I feel that the competencies that I have have prepared me for another docket."

Miano said her strengths are strategy formulation, the discipline of execution and follow-through, to rally teams towards work plans to deliver our mandate.

"In those dockets, I have had a deep understanding of the government operations, the strategy and the manifesto that is being implemented,".

The lawyer and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya was appearing for vetting when she highlighted her extensive experience.

Miano is among the 10 CSs who are set to make a return to the Cabinet should Parliament clear them.

She had earlier been nominated to take up the position of the Attorney General.

President William Ruto named the new cabinet leaving out other members who were in his first cabinet.

Until their dismissal from office, Miano was the Trade CS, a position she held since last October.

She previously held that of the EAC, ASALs & Regional Development.
