Public Service Cabinet Secretary nominee Justin Muturi has said his net worth is Sh801,000,000.
During his last vetting, he was worth Sh761,000,000.
He said most of it was an evaluation of small properties in the village and farming that he does.
He had appeared before the National Assembly Committee on Appointments on Sunday.
Muturi said he began in junior levels as a public servant, where he was earning Sh2,400.
He said he put in at least 15 years when he was earning the meagre amount.
"It is just to show that I have been a very modest public servant," he said.
He was explaining how he was able to earn Sh40 million more in two years, taking into consideration that he had earned Sh761 million throughout his career life.
If confirmed, Muturi will succeed former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria.
Muturi was the Attorney General in President William Ruto's former Cabinet until its dismissal on July 11, 2024.
