Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has assured Team Kenya of continued state support after the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In a statement, Mudavadi reaffirmed the government's commitment to ensuring there is an environment that can catapult Kenyan athletes to the highest levels of sport.

He said Team Kenya made the country proud with their performance in Paris.

"As we celebrate your success, I assure you of our continued support in your sporting endeavours. The government remains committed to fostering an environment that nurtures and elevates our athletes to even greater heights.

"You have made Kenya proud, and we look forward to witnessing your future successes," Mudavadi said on X.

Team Kenya jetted back into the country on Tuesday night. They were received by Sports Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) alongside other state officials.

Mudavadi went on to say that their dedication, resilience, and unwavering spirit have brought immense pride to the country.

He said their achievements on the global stage reflect not only their commitments but also the collective strength and potential of Kenya.

"You have inspired countless Kenyans and demonstrated the power of hard work and perseverance.

"I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all Kenyan Athletes who represented our nation at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games," the Prime CS said.

Mudavadi said the leadership of the country recognises the challenges the athletes had to overcome to attain their levels of excellence.

"Your triumphs are a testament to your unwavering determination and serve as an inspiration to future generations of Kenyan athletes.

Team Kenya won 11 medals at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. It had four gold, two silver and five bronze medals.

Kenya finished 17 overall but top in the African Continent.
