CS Joho visits Kisumu, inspects fish landing sites

Cabinet Secretary for Mining and Blue Economy Hassan Joho on Tuesday toured Kisumu to inspect some of the fish landing sites within the Lakeside city.

Cabinet Secretary for Mining and Blue Economy Hassan Joho on Tuesday toured  Kisumu to inspect some of the fish landing sites within the Lakeside city.

CS Joho was accompanied by PS Betty Njagi and PS Geoffrey Kaituko among other officers.

He is accompanied by  Kisumu West MP  Rosa Buyu, Seme's James Nyikal and Kisumu Woman Representative Ruth Odinga among other local leaders.

The CS paid a courtesy call to Governor Anyang Nyong'o in his office before embarking on his tour.

CS Joho later visited Ogal fish landing sites in Kisumu West and Asat in Seme.

At both the beaches he was to be briefed by the Beach Management Units on their status among other issues.

The leaders will engage the people about what they want to see happening at the landing sites because they have an agenda to improve the sites and their infrastructure.

The team was later expected to visit the Kisumu's KMA offices and site for the proposed construction of MRCC.
