The United Democratic Alliance has highlighted President William Ruto's scorecard at a time when Kenyans on social media have raised concerns about developmental projects launched by the President.

However, the UDA party, a member of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance headed by the President, said the results speak for themselves.

They have highlighted eight projects that have been successful under Ruto's leadership.

The projects include Kenya Airways profits, Tourism revenue surge, economic growth forecast, sugar production boom, new job opportunities and housing development.

Others are completed roads and the cost of living.

"The results are speaking. The government’s development agenda is on course," UDA said in a scorecard posted on X.

Among the achievements include Kenya Airways profits, showing that KQ made its first profit in a decade—Sh513 million after tax, boosted by a stable shilling and higher revenue.

According to the UDA, there has been a tourism revenue surge of Sh142.5 billion in 2024.

This, the party attributed to the visits to Maasai Mara's wildebeest migration.

UDA argues that there is an economic growth forecast where the World Bank predicts 5.2 per cent growth in 2024.

This has been driven by private sector investment and improved business conditions.

The party cited a sugar production boom where 384,552 tonnes have been produced, considering exports after a 123.4 per cent increase, supported by a subsidised fertiliser programme.

"New job opportunities. Meta's new monetisation strategies are expected to generate jobs, especially in creative industries," the statement reads.

UDA cited the housing development, where the party says more than 160,000 jobs were created; 112,405 housing units were either completed or ongoing, with 730,062 more planned.

According to the party, under Ruto's regime, the Kenya Kwanza administration has completed roads including Kenol-Sagana Road, Mteza Dongo Kundu - MPARD 2, and Eldoret Southern Bypass.

The party also highlighted the reduced cost of living and firm inputs saying fertiliser prices dropped from Sh7,000 to Sh2,000.

The drop in fertiliser, they said has increased agricultural productivity, reducing the cost of unga from Sh230 to Sh100.
