Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers have carried out demos in Eldoret insisting that they will remain on strike until the government meets their demands.

They were led by Kuppet Uasin Gishu branch secretary Elijah Maiyo who said they want full implementation of the 2021-2025 CBA agreement.

They also want the government to employ intern teachers on permanent and pensionable terms.

“We want TSC and the government to also review our carrier progression before we return to work," they said.

Maiyo said they were also protesting following the decision to reduce their allocation for their medical cover from Sh22 billion to Sh11 billion.
