Papa wa Roma excited to meet Pope Francis

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula had a noteworthy encounter Monday with Pope Francis.

The two met at the Apostolic Palace or the Papal Palace in Vatican City in Italy.

In a post he shared on official social media pages, Wetangula, whose moniker is Papa wa Roma,  did not provide many details on whether they had discussions only expressing happiness at meeting him.

Wetangula is in the country on official duties.

“Honored to meet the Head of the Catholic Church,” he wrote.

“Pope Francis epitomizes a true Servant Leader, going by his desire to bring hope, equality and opportunity to the less fortunate,” he added.

Pope Francis, Wetangula noted, exhibits the gesture of a role model of mercy, love, compassion and courage as he leads the universal church.
