President William Ruto on Wednesday told off a man distracting his speech in Migori, during his development tour of Raila Odinga's backyard.

The President was addressing residents of Migori when a man shouted during his speech, forcing him to stop.

However, Ruto told him off, saying he should cool down because he was not in a hurry.

The president was engaging the residents on which development projects they would like the government to focus on.

Ruto thanked the residents for embracing agriculture and helping the country's food security.

"Na Kaunti? (What about the county?)"  a man was heard shouting.

"Ngoja na Kaunti, wachakunikimbiza wewe, wewe unaniharakisha umesikia niko na haraka ya kuenda wapi? Nipeleke polepole wacha maneno, Kaunti nitasema," the President replied.

(About the county, you should wait. Do not hurry me. You want to rush me, did anyone tell you I'm in any hurry? Do not rush me, take things slow, I will address county issues).

The President went ahead to finish his part of the speech and delved into matters in Migori county.

Ruto said that the national government and county government have agreed to support Community Health Promoters.

The President said the move will help residents to know their health status to plan on their medication.

Ruto further drummed up support for the Social Health Insurance Fund, saying it will address inclusivity.
