The incident comes barely two weeks after another incident where a Form 4 student was attacked and stabbed to death by sword-wielding gangs that have been terrorizing the residents of Bulla Mzuri.

In July the town witnessed a wave of insecurity orchestrated by criminals and gangs a situation that led to panic among residents leading to businesses closing early.

This led to a security meeting that was convened by North Eastern regional Commissioner John Otieno and which was attended by among others leaders and local administrators.

Several people were later arrested in connection to the incidents and arraigned in court.
