Police are investigating an incident in which a 40-year-old woman was found dead in her bed in Parklands area, Nairobi.

Police said Pauline Adhiambo was a housegirl in one of the homes in the area.

The owners of the house reported she was having diabetes and was on medication.

She was found dead in her bed on September 4 at the house along City Park Drive area.

A clinical officer was called to the home and confirmed she had died before police were informed.

The body which had no visible physical injuries was taken to Chiromo mortuary awaiting postmortem examination, police said.

Meanwhile, a 22-year-old man was hunted down and killed by a mob on suspicion of being a thief in a Kakamega village.

The incident happened in Kiliboti location, Mutonyi village where the body of James Simiyu Kundu was found in a ditch on September 5 long after he had been killed.

The body was discovered in the ditch by passers-by who reported it to the local authorities.

Police said it is suspected that the deceased was killed by an angry mob at an unknown time of the night on suspicion of theft since he was a notorious thief. The body was moved to a local morgue awaiting autopsy.

Police said they are investigating murder in the saga.

Police have been discouraging mob lynching and want suspects to be surrendered to authorities for action.

In Elburgon, Molo, Nakuru County, a 63-year-old man was found dead outside a residential area.

Police said the body of Nelson Njenga was outside his home in Kasarani area, with blood oozing from his mouth and nose.

The cause of the death is yet to be known.

The body was moved to a local mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
