PS Omollo inspects Kwale stadium ahead of Mashujaa Day fete celebrations

Interior PS Raymond Omollo on Friday inspected the Kwale Stadium which will host this year’s Mashujaa Day celebrations.

The stadium is still under construction but is expected to be complete ahead of the celebrations..

The celebrations will be marked on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

The theme of this year’s Mashujaa Day is Affordable Housing, a priority project of President William Ruto.

The programme is being implemented across the country.

There will be demonstrations showcasing the progress made so far in the affordable housing, along with other national priority programmes during the Mashujaa Day celebrations.

PS Omollo led other government officials in inspecting the venue of the event.

The stadium has a capacity of slightly more than 10,000 and is expected to be filled to capacity on the material day.

“Since Kwale is a tourist destination, we expect the economy to grow and see an increase during this period and shortly thereafter. We will also make full provisions for additional accommodation,” a statement from Omollo’s office said.
