Nairobi River

Ruto on Thursday launched the Nairobi River Regeneration Project in Korogocho, Nairobi under the Climate WorX Mtaani initiative.

He noted that a clean and revitalised Nairobi River means improved public health, enhanced local business opportunities and a safer environment for the residents.

Ruto stated that the project will focus on restoring the river's natural beauty, eliminating pollution and creating green spaces that uplift surrounding communities.

On Tuesday, Interior CS Kithure Kindiki toured different parts of the Nairobi Rivers to verify compliance with orders for the removal of structures and settlements within the riparian corridors.
