The National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse has emerged victorious in the 2024 Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show in Nyeri.

The Authority was recognised as the best in the Youth Empowerment and Advocacy category in the show that took place at Kabiru-ini Showground.

Visiting its stand, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua commended the Authority for the critical role it plays in the country.

Gachagua emphasised the need for continued youth empowerment and advocacy.

NACADA's impressive stand highlighted its ongoing efforts to educate the public, particularly the youth, about the dangers of drug and substance abuse.

This is while providing information on available resources for rehabilitation and recovery.

The Authority’s interactive exhibits, informative sessions and youth-centred programs captured the attention of the show's visitors and judges alike.

In recognition of their outstanding efforts, NACADA was awarded a trophy for their exceptional work in promoting youth empowerment.

The trophy was presented by Gachagua, who was accompanied by Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, a testament to the Authority’s impactful presence at the event.
