Machakos man chops his manhood, takes himself to hospital

The man is said to have walked into hospital with parts of his chopped manhood wrapped in a nylon bag.

Police in Machakos are investigating an incident where a man reportedly took himself to hospital after chopping his manhood in Mwala, Machakos County.

Alex Muthini Mwanzia, 21,  is said to have walked into Masii Level III hospital with parts of his chopped manhood wrapped in a nylon bag on Sunday night.

Mwala subcounty police commander Nancy Jerobon said the matter was reported to Masii Police Station as a self-inflicted assault incident on Monday.

“He took himself to Masii Level 3 hospital where he was referred to Machakos Level 5 hospital for further treatment,” Jerobon told the Star on Monday.

The police boss spoke to the Star on the phone.

She said the victim’s motive for the incident is yet to be established.

The victim walked into the facility at around midnight Sunday.

“He was received at the hospital bleeding profusely. We attended to him and later referred him to Machakos Level 5 hospital in a county government ambulance,” a source told the Star.

He said parts of the chopped manhood were discovered in the man’s pockets wrapped with a nylon bag upon search.

“The man said he had cut his manhood himself. He was alone when he walked into the facility seeking treatment,” he said.
