Two Meru men killed in separate incidents

The two men were murdered in Imenti South on September 15 and 16.

Two people have been killed in separate incidents in Meru County.

According to the police, one of the incidents happened in Imenti South on September 15, at around 10 am.

Police received a report that John Mwiti, 48, was seriously assaulted at his home by known persons.

He was rushed to Jumupamozzi Medical Center in Kaguru, where he unfortunately passed on while undergoing treatment.

Police visited the scene and took the necessary action as the deceased body was taken to Consolata Hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy.

Still in Imenti South at Mitunguu, police are investigating a case in which a dead body was discovered by the roadside.

Police received a report from the area assistant chief on September 16 at 4pm that there was a dead body of a male adult at Kithare village.

Officers visited the scene, where they found the body of the deceased, who was identified as Julius Gituma aged about 38 years old lying dead on the back by the roadside with visible injuries.

The scene was processed and the body was removed to the Kanyakine sub-county hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy.
