Areas in Nairobi to experience rainfall on Friday, Saturday

Some areas in Nairobi have been advised to brace for medium to heavy rainfall on Friday and Saturday.

In a weather update shared for Friday and Saturday, the Kenya Meteorological Department listed Nairobi areas to experience rain.

The weather update is for Friday 9 am to Saturday 9 am.

Parts of Nairobi that will experience rainfall include Embakasi West, Embakasi Central, and Embakasi North.

Parts of Dagoretti North, Dagoretti South, and Westlands will also experience rainfall.

The areas will have rainfall of up to 10mm.

Areas including Langata, Starehe, Kamukunji, Embakasi East and Embakasi West will receive little or no rainfall.

During the weather prediction of September 24 to September 30, Kenya Met said that most parts of the country will generally be sunny and dry.

However, the Department said that occasional rainfall is likely to occur in the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin and the Coast.

There will also be high temperatures of above 30°C experienced during the day in areas of the South Rift Valley, the Coast, South-eastern lowlands, Western, North-Eastern, and North-Western Kenya.

Kenya Met said some parts of the Central Highlands, Central Rift Valley, and South-eastern lowlands will experience low night temperatures of below 10°C.
