The government has urged Kenyans living in Lebanon to register for evacuation amid the escalating situation.
The deadline for registration is October 12, 2024.
The government said they will continue to prioritise the safety of all Kenyan nationals residing in Lebanon.
“We are deeply concerned that a large number of Kenyans in Lebanon have not yet registered for evacuation despite our repeated calls,” the State Department of Diaspora Affairs said in a statement.
“To ensure the safety and timely evacuation of all our citizens, we urge all Kenyans in Lebanon to immediately register with us.”
According to the department, only registered Kenyans will be eligible for evacuation.
The government said it has successfully evacuated two groups of Kenyans from Lebanon and are committed to continuing the efforts until every Kenyan in need is safely home.
Any Kenyan who wishes to be evacuated must ensure that their registration is completed before the date.
