Interior PS
Raymond Omollo on Saturday inspected Kwale stadium ahead of Mashujaa Day.
Kwale county will
play host to this year's Mashujaa Day celebrations on October 20, at the newly
constructed stadium in Matuga subcounty.
PS Omollo said the
stadium roofing is nearing completion while the grass is becoming greener by
day.
He further added
that access roads to the stadium and the Kwale State Lodge have also taken
shape.
President William
Ruto is expected to lead Kenyans marking the Mashujaa Day celebrations.
Mashujaa is
Swahili for heroes.
The national day is
observed annually on October 20 as a public holiday to honour those who
contributed to the struggle for Kenya's independence or positively contributed
to the post-independence Kenya.
