The body of a water farm manager who was missing was found in a dam within the compound in Mai Mahiu, Nakuru County.

Police were called to the scene and said they had launched investigations into the same. Police said they are investigating both murder and suicide theories.

The body with no physical injuries was moved to Umme mortuary for preservation pending autopsy.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the sudden death cases of four people reported to them.

The first incident was reported in Kahuro, Muranga County on Monday morning where a falling tree killed a 35-year-old man.

According to police, James Macharia was asleep in his house when a tree from a neighbour’s compound fell and crushed it.

The incident happened in Githunguri village and the tree damaged three semi-permanent houses, police said.

It was then that Macharia was injured on the right leg, hand and head causing profuse bleeding.

He was rushed to Muriranjas sub-county hospital where he succumbed to injuries, police said.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.

In Nyalenda, Kisumu County, a man collapsed and died in the Got-Owak area.

Witnesses said the deceased who is a building materials broker in the area collapsed and died at the scene and it is not clear what caused the death.

The body was moved to the Kisumu County referral hospital pending autopsy.

In Gesonso, Kisii County, one Steve Orenge collapsed and died in an incident.

The deceased was a teacher and was walking home with a fellow teacher when he suddenly collapsed and died instantly.

The cause of death is not yet established since he never had any medical history complications, police and the family said.

The body was moved to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital for preservation and postmortem.

In Kakamega, the body of one Jacob Mukalama, 48 was found lying beside the road.

It is alleged that the deceased was from a nearby chemist where he had gone to buy drugs after feeling unwell.

Police officers visited the scene and upon physical examination, the body had no physical injuries.

A packet of medical drugs was found beside the body.

The body was moved to Kakamega Orthopaedic Hospital Mortuary for preservation awaiting post-mortem.

Police said such sudden deaths have been on the rise and some of them remain unsolved
