Police in Kirinyaga are investigating the incident in which a four-year-old boy from a play group school in Kimbimbi
Township mysteriously went missing.
The boy identified by police as Jayden Murimi went missing on
October 5 at around 11 am.
According to police, the boy’s mother Mercy Wanjiru left him
playing with other children at home while she worked on a nearby farm and upon return, she discovered he was missing.
Preliminary investigations by police days later revealed
that an unknown man had taken Jayden and disappeared.
The family combed the entire Kimbimbi Township since October
5 but he has not been found, police said.
According to police, was wearing black
trousers, a yellow sweater, and brown crocs at the time he went missing.
Kerugoya Police Station officers visited the scene and the
necessary documentation was done.
In Keiyo North in Elgeyo-Marakwet County, a form three student
at Kapkessum Secondary School reportedly went missing on October 6 at 9 am.
The 18-year-old was identified by police as Firida Chepkemoi.
Preliminary investigations revealed that she was sent home
due to an outstanding school fees balance but never returned.
Chepkemoi was last seen
wearing a black sweater, navy blue skirt, white shirt, black and white striped
socks, and black shoes, police said.
Police say her whereabouts remain
unknown despite efforts to locate her.
Meanwhile, in Viulu village, Kakamega a form three student at
St Joseph Girls High School went missing on August 27 at around 12:30 pm
According to Khayega police officers, the girl is said to
have left home and has not been seen since.
Police say she was last seen wearing black shorts, a white
T-shirt, and red sandals.
Police said despite efforts to locate her, there has been no progress.
Elsewhere in Mukuyu in Murang'a a 20-year-old NYS officer Rafael Mburu Kamau went missing on Saturday while reporting to the
Ugunja NYS Unit.
Despite efforts to locate him, there has been no progress. The case is under investigation.
