Three killed in separate traffic accidents in Narok, Kajiado and Meru

In Narok-Mulot a tanker and a motorcycle collided.

At least three were killed in separate accidents in Narok, Kajiado and Meru Counties

In Narok-Mulot a tanker and a motorcycle collided.

According to police, the tanker was driving  from Narok towards a petrol station when a  motorcycle overtook him and collided with an oncoming vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

Police say the motorcycle,  was driven by 24-year-old Wilson Gitonga.

The impact caused the motorcycle to be thrown underneath the tanker, police said.

Wilson Gitonga sustained severe injuries from the collision.

A bystander at the scene rushed him to Narok County Referral Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Narok police station officer visited the scene to assess the situation and gather necessary evidence.

Gitonga’s body was preserved at the hospital mortuary, awaiting a postmortem examination.

The case is currently under investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the accident and any potential factors that contributed to the tragic outcome.

 Elsewhere in Kajiado along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway a motorvehicle lost control, after an unknown vehicle veered off the road and landed in a ditch on the left side of the highway.

According to police, the accident resulted in the tragic death of one passenger, Wanjiku Kariuki, who sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say, two other passengers in the vehicle sustained minor injuries and were assessed for treatment.

Mashuru Police station officers were notified, and the scene was visited by police officers who began gathering evidence and taking statements from witnesses.

The unknown driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, and efforts are underway to identify and locate them.

Elsewhere in Gikuyari-Kirie Murram Road, near Mumburi area a driver lost control of a vehicle, which rolled over multiple times.

According to police, the vehicle was being driven by an unknown male adult traveling from Siakago to Kirie.

Police say during the rollover, the driver was ejected from the vehicle and landed on the roadside, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police officers arrived promptly to investigate the incident.

They retrieved the body and transported it to Siakago Level Four Hospital morgue for identification.

The wrecked vehicle was towed to the Kiritiri traffic yard, where it will await inspection.
