The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) and Rongo University have announced new vacancies that qualified Kenyans can apply.

KNEC is set to fill 39 positions, while Rongo University has listed 24 vacancies; both academic and administrative roles.

For those looking for positions in human resources, KNEC is offering roles such as Principal Human Resource Management Officer, Human Resource Management Assistant, and Research and Quality Assurance Officer.

There are also roles for Examinations Administrators, Supply Chain Management Assistants, and Drivers.

Interested candidates must submit their applications using the specified KNEC forms (KNEC 2A for external applicants and KNEC 2B for internal applicants) by November 5, 2024.

The council promises a competitive remuneration package and notes that some positions, particularly those at KNEC Grade 3, will be offered on five-year contracts, with renewals contingent upon performance.

Meanwhile, Rongo University has opened 24 positions, offering opportunities for both lecturers and administrative staff.

Academic positions include Lecturers in specializations such as Health Systems/Records, Political Science, Hotel and Hospitality, curriculum and instruction, fashion design and textile technology, applied statistics, physics, and Special Needs Education.

Language lecturer positions advertised include Kiswahili and French.

Tutorial Fellows are also needed in fields such as Agricultural Extension and Environmental Planning.

On the administrative side, Rongo University is looking to hire a Corporate Communications Officer, Farm Manager, graphic designer, and Assistant ICT Officer (System Administrator), among others.

Rongo University has set a deadline for applications on Friday, November 8, 2024. Candidates are required to provide updated CVs, certified academic credentials, and reference letters.

Applicants are required to clearly indicate the reference number of the position they are applying for on their application envelopes.

Both institutions have emphasized that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification and that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
