His body was moved to Nairobi on Thursday following a request from his family and employer, police said.

An autopsy is planned on the body at the Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi. The body was discovered in the Mungowere stream in Yala, Siaya County on October 23 at 2 pm.

The family had reported he was missing on Monday, October 21.

Police said the body was decomposed when it was discovered by a student.It had bruises on the face and stomach indicating it was dragged on a rough surface.

The body was half-naked and seemed to have been tortured elsewhere before being dumped at the scene. It was handcuffed from behind.

Eastleigh murder probe

Detectives are still probing an incident where Eastleigh mother, two daughters were brutally murdered. The three disappeared on Monday, October 21.

The three bodies were found in Bahati, Parklands, and Machakos, respectively, with similar injuries, police said.

According to the family, the two girls, aged 11 and 22, left home on Monday evening at around 5:30 PM to search for their mother, who had gone out earlier in the day for skin treatment in Eastleigh but had not returned home and had not communicated at all.

They said it was unusual for her to be out for that long. All indications are that they were lured to their death.

Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja said the case is among those under serious probe.

Detectives are still searching for the whereabouts of Della Anole Ward Representative Yusuf Hussein Ahmed.

Two DNA tests have revealed that the body recently recovered from Lake Yahud is not his.

This was confirmed Thursday by his family, who said pathologists confirmed the result is negative.

The MCA who went missing on September 13 after it was reported that he was abducted in Nairobi by unknown people.
