Notable dignitaries are in President for President William Ruto's State of the Nation address.

As per the custom of the House, the National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula acknowledged the presence of guests seated at the Speaker’s row.

President Ruto was accompanied by the First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto and other members of the First Family.

The Speaker also acknowledged the presence of Deputy President Kithure Kindiki alongside his spouse Joyce Kithure.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi was also among the guests present.

Also present was the Deputy Chief Justice Lady Justice Philomena Mwilu.

Mwilu was accompanied by other judges of the Supreme Court of Kenya and presiding judges of the Environment and Land Court and Employment and Labour Relations Court.

Former Speakers of the House Justin Muturi, Keneth Marende, Kenneth Lusaka and Ekwe Ethuro were also presented.

A delegation from the Republic of Gambia visiting the Parliament was also present at the State of the Nation address.

In attendance was also the Council of Governors Chairperson and Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi and his Nairobi counterpart Johnson Sakaja.

Cabinet Secretaries Aden duale, Kipchumba Murkomen, John Mbadi and Opiyo Wandayi were also present.

Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, Principal Secretaries, heads of the Diplomatic Corps and heads of constitutional commissions, independent officers and state corporations were also in attendance.

The Chief of the Kenyan Defence Forces General Daniel Kahariri and the respective service commanders as well as the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja were also in attendance.

Ruto outlined the government’s achievements over the past year in his address.

The President is obligated to appraise the legislature on all the measures taken by his administration and the progress achieved in the realisation of the national values.
