“My salary itself is Sh1.2 million and if I stay somewhere I am paying rent, I will not have a problem doing it.
“If I have not paid rent or if there is any dispute, it is not because I do not have money,” she said.
She added that wrangles and disputes arise in every situation, and “it can be boss-employee or friends.”
“It is true there is a dispute, but I am not broke; I do not gamble,” she said.
The nominated senator went on to state that the government has given lawmakers good mortgage.
“I am okay. I have not been auctioned, but there is a small wrangle. I will handle it,” she stated.
“I have seen the video purporting to show me being auctioned. There was no house there, do I live by the roadside.”
There have been allegations that some properties of the nominated senator are being auctioned after failing to pay more than Sh1 million in rent arrears.
Recently, Nyamu took to social media to share how unbothered she was by the crisis.
"You can never shame the shameless; it should be a lesson for everyone."
She also disclosed that one of her colleagues was concerned about her spending habits.
Nyamu has also denied claims of being in financial trouble in her interview with K24 TV. She accused certain individuals of attempting to tarnish her reputation by using the media and coercive tactics.
Nyamu acknowledged the concern from the public, particularly those who offered to raise money for her after the auction reports spread.
However, she assured everyone that she was not in financial distress.
