President William Ruto was in Baringo County on Tuesday to grace the tenth edition of the Kimalel Goat Auction in Baringo.

He was accompanied by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and other leaders.

The Kimalel goat auction is an annual event held in Baringo County.

According to Baringo Governor Benjamin Cheboi, the President is expected to officiate the selling of close to 4,000 goats.

The two-day event which started on Monday at the Kimalel grounds in Baringo South.
 During last year's goat auction held on December 14, 2023, President Ruto announced that he would purchase 1,000 goats for Sh15,000 each together with his deputy.
