On Wednesday, Kenyans witnessed a rare sight as ODM leader Raila Odinga stepped out in a pair of shorts at the Piny Luo Cultural Festival.

This was the second day of the festival.

Raila donned jungle green shorts, complemented by a white t-shirt. He was also wearing a white cap.

South Sudan’s Vice President, Mama Rebecca Nyandeng de Mabior, was also in attendance. Other leaders present were Governors James Orengo (Siaya) and Gladys Wanga (Homa Bay).

The second day of the festival featured water-based sports, wrestling, and Tero Buru!

Raila had officially opened the festival on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the Migwena Cultural Grounds in Siaya.

The event, organized under the theme "Luo Unity in Diversity and in Diaspora," aims to bring together the Luo community from across the globe.

The festival will conclude on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
