Elsewhere in the Soweto slums, Kayole, a minor choked and died as she was being fed with porridge by a caregiver.

The minor was left under the care of the woman when the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon.

The caregiver told police the child aged one and a half years developed breathing complications as she fed her with porridge.

She rushed her to a nearby chemist after the complications persisted before she was referred to Mama Lucy Hospital.
